We met on October 9, 2017, at a Carnival fete in Miami — Edward, born in Aruba and raised between Grenada and Brooklyn, and I, LaRaysa, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. What started as a friendship grew into a deep partnership: we became each other’s best friend and, in time, soul mate. Our relationship has had many highs and weathered a few lows, including the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, but our love, respect, and attraction for one another always pulled us through. Carnival brought us together and remains a shared passion; we both love travel, Carnival culture, and celebrating life with family and friends. Over the years we built a blended family of six wonderful children, and we’ve supported one another — Eddie is my rock, and I’m his peace. After more than five years of dating long distance, we bought a home in Florida in 2023. Exchanging vows in Saint George’s, Grenada on April 2, 2027 will be the next beautiful chapter in our journey toward everlasting love.
